Starting June 3rd, 2024, cooking gas is going to cost less! The Supplies Control Unit (SCU) in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise has revealed that the prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) have changed.
These new prices apply whether you're buying wholesale or retail. The reason for this change is that the cost of getting the materials for gas, like propane and butane, has gone down. So, for each gallon of gas, you'll now save BZ$0.18.
It's important to note that the prices for imported LPG are based on a specific mix of 70% propane and 30% butane. This is according to the Belize National Standard Specification for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
For more information about these new prices or anything else related to cooking gas, you can reach out to the Supplies Control Unit.
