City Administrator Albert Vaughan to Depart Belize City Council in October

The Belize City Council today announced that City Administrator Albert Vaughan will be departing the administration effective October 31, 2025.
According to the Council, Vaughan’s decision to leave comes for personal reasons. His tenure, however, has been commended as one marked by dedication, professionalism, and efforts to strengthen Council operations while advancing key initiatives to benefit Belize City residents.
Mayor Bernard Wagner and the Belize City Council expressed gratitude for Vaughan’s service and contributions, extending best wishes for his future endeavors.
“As the Council prepares for this transition, we also inform the public that the position of City Administrator will be advertised in the coming days, inviting qualified individuals to submit applications,” the Council stated.
The Council emphasized its ongoing commitment to serving the people of Belize City with enthusiasm, transparency, and efficiency, noting that it looks forward to building on the foundation of progress achieved during Vaughan’s service.
