Cyberbullying Scandal Leads to Queen of the Bay Belize Stripped of Title

In a dramatic turn of events, Kendall Morgan has been stripped of her title as the 78th Queen of the Bay. The Association of Former Queens and the National Queen of the Bay Committee announced their decision today, citing repeated violations of her contract, including instances of cyberbullying.

The controversy surrounding Morgan began when she was notably absent from activities related to this year’s pageant. The official release reveals that Morgan’s conduct, particularly her online behavior, was deemed unacceptable.

According to the contract signed on November 23, 2023, Morgan was required to maintain a dignified image befitting her title. This included her social media presence. Sections 5, 10, 11, 12, and 13 of the contract outline strict guidelines for behavior and participation in public engagements. Morgan’s breaches of these terms led to multiple verbal warnings and formal actions, including a warning letter issued on January 16, 2024.

Despite efforts to address and rectify her behavior, including offering professional help, Morgan continued to violate the contract. The final blow came when her cyberbullying and disrespectful behavior persisted, leading to the decision to revoke her title.

The Association and the Committee emphasize their zero-tolerance stance on bullying and are committed to supporting Morgan should she seek help in the future. While Morgan retains her prizes, including a title property and a scholarship, the Queen of the Bay title will now be awarded to the first runner-up of the 78th Pageant.
