The E-Govern-ance & Digitalization Department (EGDD) has partnered with the Ministry of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries to launch the new Online Criminal Records Registry (CRR). The Registry will make applying for and receiving Police Records of Conduct faster and more efficient. To kick off the project, a special training session was recently held to prepare Belize Police Department officers for the system’s upcoming launch.
On February 14th, 2025, a group of 16 officers attended a comprehensive training at the National Police Training Academy in Belmopan. The session, led by experts from the EGDD and the Belize Police Department, focused on the practical use of the upcoming digital Criminal Records Registry, which will soon allow the public to apply for, pay for, and receive Police Records of Conduct online.
The training not only provided participants with a thorough understanding of the system but also helped them develop the practical skills needed for its implementation. At the end of the session, all 16 officers received certification, which will enable them to train their colleagues within the department and throughout the country.
