The Financial Services Commission (FSC) has launched a new digital platform called LicenSys, designed to modernize how licensing and regulation are handled across Belize’s non-bank financial sector.
The launch took place in Belmopan on November 3, 2025, ring it a step closer in the FSC’s move toward full digital transformation. LicenSys brings all licensing, registration, and supervision services into one online system.
With the new platform, users can submit documents securely, track applications in real time, and benefit from faster processing. The FSC says the system will improve efficiency while still maintaining strong regulatory standards under the Financial Services Commission Act and the Securities Industry Act.
The Commission explained that LicenSys uses automation and data-driven tools to support better compliance and stronger oversight. Officials say the platform will help make Belize’s financial sector more competitive, transparent, and accessible.
Director General Claude Haylock said the launch is “only the beginning of a long-term transformation journey,” adding that LicenSys shows the FSC’s commitment to modernization and continuous improvement.
More upgrades are planned. Future phases of the system will include advanced compliance features, automated reporting, and tools to support risk-based supervision. These additions are expected to keep Belize aligned with international best practices and help the FSC adapt to the changing needs of the financial industry.
The FSC says it will continue working closely with stakeholders to ensure LicenSys delivers greater efficiency and impact in the future.
