Mexican President welcomes Prime Minister John Briceño for discussions on Tren Maya

Alicia Bárcena, Mexico’s Secretary of Foreign Affairs, expressing Belize's appreciation for Mexico's prompt response to recent border security challenges. The discussions encompassed several key areas of mutual interest, including the potential extension of the ongoing Tren Maya project to Belize.

Moreover, the talks delved into vital matters such as ensuring the stability of Mexico's energy supply to Belize's grid and streamlining the exportation process for sugar and coconut products to Mexico.
