Nineteen Belizeans are honored for their years of patriotic service

Last night, 19 Belizeans were honored for their years of patriotic service. 17 individuals received the Meritorious Service Award in recognition of their selfless contributions to the development and representation of the nation and its people. The remaining two were presented with the Order of Distinction, acknowledging their vital roles in laying the foundation that has helped shape Belize into the country it is today.


List of Awardees:

  2. Antonio Zabaneh - The Order of Distinction

  3. Escandar Bedran - Meritorious Service Award (Posthumously)

  4. Dr. Mario Estradabran - Meritorious Service Award

  5. Dave Edward Forman - Meritorious Service Award

  6. Lionel 'Chocolate' Heredia - Meritorious Service Award (Posthumously)

  7. Elden 'Stone Jam' Hyde - Meritorious Service Award

  8. Godfrey Sosa Jr. - Meritorious Service Award

  9. Paul Walker - Meritorious Service Award

  10. Emith Young - Meritorious Service Award

  11. Myrtle Banner - Meritorious Service Award

  12. Gudelia Pop Cowo - Meritorious Service Award (Posthumously)

  13. Dr. Jane Crawford - Meritorious Service Award

  14. Sylvia Gillet - Meritorious Service Award

  15. Cynthia Gabb Guild - Meritorious Service Award

  16. Felicia Nuñez - Meritorious Service Award

  17. Joy Ross - Meritorious Service Award
