The Reporter has been able to confirm from credible sources that a Police Officer attached to the Special Patrol Unit (SPU) Unit was reportedly shot a short while ago by Guatemalan xateros.
While information is still developing at this hour, The Reporter has been able to confirm that the officer, along with a joint patrol was heading to Machakil Ha, Toledo District, when they came under fire.
Sources say that the officer was shot to his ankle and is presently being transported out of the remote area for treatment.
