UB and MJC Collaborate to Expand Student Opportunities

In a significant stride towards offering higher education and fostering community involvement, The University of Belize (UB) proudly announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Muffles Junior College (MJC).

The MOU was formalized in a ceremony hosted at MJC's campus in Orange Walk on May 10, 2024, attended by Dr. Vincent Palacio, President of UB, and Mr. Adrian Leiva, Dean of MJC. This groundbreaking agreement sets the stage for MJC students who have completed their Associate Degree Programs to seamlessly transition into corresponding Bachelor Programs at UB's esteemed Faculty of Management and Social Sciences.

This collaborative endeavor introduces streamlined pathways for students specializing in Business Administration, Tourism, Hospitality, Accounting, Public Sector Management, and Criminal Justice and Criminology. It is meticulously crafted to mitigate hurdles to academic advancement and cultivate a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

"Today's accord not only signifies a union between two distinguished educational establishments but also serves as a conduit between academic preparation and professional triumph," remarked Dr. Vincent Palacio. "We stand poised to champion our students every step of the way, equipping them with the requisite tools to make meaningful contributions to Belize's development."
