The newly renovated and relocated Dorothy Menzies Child Care Center was officially opened in Maya Mopan, Belmopan. The center, which was previously located in Belize City, now offers a safe and nurturing environment for children in foster care.
The newly designed facility includes several modern amenities, such as an administration building, two dormitories, a laundry and storage area, office spaces, a computer resource room, activity areas, and a playground. The center has also been specially designed to accommodate persons with disabilities, ensuring that all children have equal access to the services provided.
This project is the result of a collaborative effort between the Belize Social Investment Fund (SIF), the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), and the Government of Belize.
