Twin Siblings Gunned Down in Hattieville

The Hattieville community is reeling after the tragic shooting deaths of twin siblings, Paula Esquilliano-Belisle and Paul Esquilliano, on Monday afternoon.

According to an official police report, authorities received information of gunfire in the Ysaguirre area around 2:15 p.m. Responding officers arrived at the scene to find emergency personnel from BERT already assisting 57-year-old Paula, who had sustained gunshot wounds. She was being transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital but succumbed to her injuries en route.

Meanwhile, her twin brother Paul, also 57, was discovered motionless on the ground at a residence in the area with apparent gunshot injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident has shocked residents, who describe the twins as active, church-going members deeply involved in their community. While unconfirmed reports suggest that the double murder may have been committed by a family member, police have not released further details and stress that the investigation remains ongoing.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
